Debbie Trice reviewed our neighborhood association's Accomplishments in 2021. Featured speaker Diane Kennedy, the City's Code Compliance Manager, reviewed how citizens can help protect safety, health and general welfare by complying with City codes and reporting problems to her office. Anand Pallegar and David Lough offered updates on the park and pending streetscape improvements. Jim Lampl accepted nominations from the floor for the new RDA Board and announced the final list of candidates.

Featured speakers James Pankonin and Philip DiMaria who are leading our park’s design team at Kimley-Horn presented an overview of the design process and anticipated timeline to park completion. Featured speaker Kevin Stiff, the City’s Coordinator of Homeless Response, reviewed the two separate issues in what we think of as homelessness and the two separate ways to address them.

Featured speaker Interim City Manager Marlon Brown says his top priorities are to be responsive and accessible. He committed to continue speed-calming efforts on Cocoanut Ave.

The agenda also included an update on the efforts to get a park, RDA's other accomplishments in 2020, and a chance to meet the nominees for the 2021 Board.
